Suppliers

Your customers will soon ask for your data.

The battery maker is usually responsible for the passport. But much of the data originates earlier: in cells, materials, modules and BMS. Suppliers who can deliver it cleanly become preferred partners.

What is asked

Have this data ready.

Composition

Chemistry, cathode, anode, electrolyte, critical raw materials and hazardous substances, backed by safety data sheets.

Performance data

Capacity, voltages, cycle life and temperature ranges, with reference to the test report.

Origin and recycled content

Raw material origin, recycled content and upstream emissions. Some deadlines are later, but customers are already asking.

How to proceed

Ready to deliver in four steps.

You can do this without software and without having a passport obligation yourself.

  • Establish which products end up in batteries for the EU market
  • Collect evidence centrally and assign it per product
  • Name a contact person for data requests
  • Prepare a standard sheet with your data in German and English
FAQ
Do I need to create battery passports myself as a supplier?

Usually not. The obligation lies with the economic operator placing the finished battery on the market. It may differ if you sell finished batteries yourself.

Is there supplier access in the app?

Dedicated supplier access is being built. Until then, the manufacturer adds your data to their model.
